Orsanmichelle - is a highlight for me in Florence - less visited than many attractions - it has a monastic empty space appeal, the rooms are of the most elegant simple enormous proportions - the top room is filled with light and offers uncompromising views of the city. 🌞

Fantastic gallery and museum. I was amazed at the beauty of the holiness there as well as the quality of the exhibits.

Mooi museum en geweldig uitzicht

E' favoloso il tabernacolo marmoreo di Andrea di Cione detto l’Orcagna nel quale è incastonato il dipinto della Madonna col Bambino, dipinta da Bernardo Daddi. Notevoli gli affreschi delle volte che raffigurano i personaggi delle tre epoche della storia biblica, mentre sui pilastri si trovano rappresentati i Santi Protettori delle Arti e dei Mestieri. Al primo piano sono esposte 11 statue che sono i capolavori dei più grandi maestri fiorentini del Quattrocento. Notevole la soluzione ideata della scala in legno (struttura moderna) che porta dal primo al secondo piano
